Sarah is the owner of Sarah Elizabeth Photography is a full time wedding photographer based in Charleston, SC. Sarah loves to be creative and to think outside the traditional wedding norms and bring a new spin to the traditional Charleston wedding industry. A Canon Event was born out of a desire to bring life, creativity, and collaboration to the content event and retreat community, and to be so much more than a pretty portfolio building event. At A Canon Event Charlotte, Sarah is excited to step into the role of attendee coordinator (*change to whatever you think sounds good lol), and really get to connect with all the attendees to make this event a collaborative and community-driven event. Crowe Mansion on Wednesday, November 12, 2025

On November 12, 2025 we took the Canon Event Experience to Charlotte NC this year. Based on feedback from last year’s attendees and our own personal creative evolution we offered an experience at NEW Luxury Wedding Venue, Crowe Mansion this fall that allowed attendees to capture 10 different wedding weekend scenes.

One hallmark of our Canon Events is that we bring in a full cast of characters who are invited to improv, act, and create moments on their own. Wedding Industry Photographers, Videographers, and Content Creators were able to capture real, organic or directed moments unfold that gave them the rush and challenge of a real wedding day experience. In each scene cast members were given direction based on attendee input to interact. This round we’re created 10 different uniquely designed scenes: 5 sequentially designed. 4 One-offs. With over 75 creatives involved in production, design, vendors, cast, and 14 attendees.

Tickets for all Canon Events are always available for photographers, videographers, and content creators at any stage of their wedding career.

In June of 2024, Wedding professionals from across the United States gathered in Houston, Texas to take part in A Canon Event an immersive experience seeking to inspire artistic collaboration in the luxury wedding industry. The two-day event was hosted at La Colombe d’Or and Chateau Nouvelle by South Carolina photographers Sarah Curfman of Sarah Elizabeth Photography (@sarah_elizabethphotog) and Anna Bullock of Anna Katherine Creative (@annakatherine.creative) with support from wedding planner Morgan Williams of Morgan Williams Weddings (@morganwilliamsweddings).

Fueled by a cinematic vision, the team conceptualized multiple complex fashion-forward scenes and encouraged all their vendors to prioritize nontraditional decision-making throughout their creative process.

A Canon Event provided vendors, cast members, videographers and photographers in attendance the opportunity to create and experience authentic narrative-driven moments and ambitious visual world building that seeks to reimagine the luxury wedding landscape for couples and wedding professionals everywhere.
